What a fabulous 4 days it was!

I just returned last evening from my church’s annual church camp in Putrajaya,Kuala Lumpur, at the J.W Marriott hotel, so if you had not been receiving any updates, it was because i was away from the PC haha..But when i checked my Bloglog visitors box today, i noticed that there were a few newcomers to my blog, and i want to thank them for dropping by my blog to check it out!

Though the camp passed pretty quickly, i have come back to Singapore charged up with a renewed fervor and vision for the Lord! One of the things the Lord spoke to me about was about making every single second we breathe and live count for the Kingdom of God, by walking in His wisdom, everywhere, every day 24/7..The so called “theme” verse for me was from Ephesians 5:15-17 :

“15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

The personal challenge that i felt the Lord put forth to me during the camp was : “John, what are you gonna do for the kingdom of God for the rest of your life here on earth with such short time?.

That re-ignited a fresh passion in me to firstly grow in intimacy with the Lord daily in the secret place, and to live a lifestyle of soul-winning..these two things are my core purpose in life!

We had 2 sessions per day, with workshops in the afternoon..God’s presence really moved.

We also had loads of fun and exciting experiences, like playing water polo on the 3rd day and ordering room service for supper on the last night. Really loved the bonding..However, the funniest thing that happened to me was when i got locked out of my hotel room on the first night! Apparently, my two room-mates were so sleepy after watching a few of us playing Monopoly that they accidentally ledged the room door when they returned to the room before me! When i had returned at about 1am, the door was ledged, and i called, banged, and dialled on their handphones but both were sound asleep! So i ended up sleeping in my zone member’s room on the cold hotel floor instead with their bath towel as my blanket instead..

Now…How exciting is that for a church camp?hahaha
