The final push before BMTC School 1 on 14 JULY!

Its been a very very busy past two weeks, handling three web projects, meeting up with people before going into the Army on 14 Jul (which is like 15 days away only!)..

I’m taking some time off to blog here again..but apparently i had a comment from a friend today of mine that the blog posts I make are rather dull and boring…and are very technical..

Well..I was quite surprised, but wasn’t too surprised, because after all..in the world of Internet Marketing, there are plenty of technical terms to talk about..such as R/S ratios..SEO etc etc.. That’s part and parcel of the learning process haha..

Ok..I’ve decided not to get too intense in this blog post..but to lighten up abit..So here’s a joke i would like to tell:

‘A man was scheduled for a flight at 630pm, but its already 730pm now and he’s flagging down a cab to get to the airport…Why would he be so dumb to do this?”

I know the answer, but won’t reveal it yet haha.. Please make a good guess here…I’ll only tell the answer tommorrow!

Some crazy N.S fanatic put this Uncle Sam pic up..good propoganda for N.S eh?

Anyway..I’ve been really brooding and preparing myself to enter into National Service (NS).. Not really physically though, (because i always procrastinate and say i’ll work out in the gym but never do so hah! ), but more mentally and spiritually. On the mental note, i interviewed some of my fellow BIT coursemates who just booked out of Tekong today and asked them how was their 1st 2 weeks inPhysical Training Phase (PTP), and most of them told me it was very fun, with the exception of the physical training. One even said it was like a chalet cum camp, except the tough physical training parts..However, i think i’m ready to tackle the mental barrier that NS is tough and boring, because being a Scout before in secondary school, i’ve done really crazy things like being made to run around Pasir Ris Town from 1-4am in the morning, and then being commanded to walk straight into the Pasir Ris Park cold, freezing sea at 5am in the morning with a few friends and light a campfire in the sea with only an aluminium tray and some leaves!! But really, i’ve learnt endurance and tough-mindedness from all these crazy experiences in Scouts, as compared to where i used to be quite a sissy in primary school days!

On the spiritual note, I’m very expectant and upbeat about N.S.Many friends I know have a very pessimistic and negative outlook to NS, as their only goal is to get done and over with those 2 years that you become government property. I beg to differ though. I mean..come to think of it, N.S is the best time of your life to learn to be a man, but not only that, to impact other fellow men in your platoon and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them!  Y so? because for those 2.5 months in Pulau Tekong doing Basic Military Training(BMT), they stick with you 24/5, with the exception of weekends where you book out. So, I wanna let my life be a living testimony for others to see and to want to come to know and experience who Jesus is for their own lives….Onward Christian Soldier!

Yup..so do keep me in prayer, but more importantly, pray that I’ll always be found rejoicing, praying always, and giving thanks to God all the time in the ardous training grounds.  Two years from now, i’ll be a full fledged MAN, and no one can call me BOY anymore haha..
